Keynote Announcement: Preston So

Preston So has been a web developer and designer since 2001, a creative professional since 2004, and a Drupal developer since 2007. As Director of Research and Innovation at Acquia, Preston leads new open-source and research initiatives and helms Acquia Labs, an innovation center architecting groundbreaking projects for clients like the State of Georgia and Nestlé Purina.

DrupalCon Recap

Another DrupalCon in the books and with Nashville being the most gracious of hosts, people from around the world joined in on everything Drupal. If you attended this year’s DrupalCon, making the trip across hundreds of miles of the Midwest from the colorful state of Colorado, then you know that Tennessee Hot Fried Chicken was not the only attraction that we know many of you sought. Of course, Nashville is Music City and we hope that between all of the sessions and great speakers, you had the chance to listen to and explore all of the history and music that Nashville has to offer.

Drupal Showers

Did you know that the word, “Drupal” is based on the Dutch word, “Druppel” which means drop? And in Colorado, we are all too familiar with the drops that pour from the sky during the spring months, but in terms of April showers and the amount of Drupal members pouring into Colorado Drupal related events and Drupal events around the world. In fact, next week is home to the largest Drupal-related event in North America:  DrupalCon.

Sometimes, instead of reading lines and lines of content, or for those of you who are programmers, instead of reading lines and lines of code, we need the key points broken down for us. In this technology age, many of us find it easier to read information about a process or an event if the information itself is in a fancy graphic, bulleted out in an easy-to-read list, or some other creative outlet that allows us to skim through the important information.
